About this event

Preservation Houston members are invited to celebrate the organization’s work over the past year, welcome incoming members of the Board of Directors and get a close look at a carefully restored historic building during PH’s 2022 Member Reception and Meeting at Christ Church Cathedral on Tuesday evening, June 14.

The event will begin at 6 p.m. with wine and hors d’oeuvres in the church’s charming courtyard, followed by a brief membership meeting at 7 p.m. in the sanctuary where you’ll learn about the preservation work that your PH membership supports. The evening’s featured speaker, David Bucek of Stern and Bucek Architects, will discuss his firm’s restoration work at Christ Church, which was recognized with a Good Brick Award in 2020. (The cathedral has received two prior Good Bricks, in 1991 and 1997, for stewardship of its historic building.)

Admission to the Member Reception and Meeting is complimentary and open to PH and Pier & Beam members and their guests. RSVP by Friday, June 10.

Parking

Street parking is free downtown from 6 p.m. Paid parking is available in the cathedral parking garage (enter from San Jacinto between Texas and Prairie) and in other nearby garages and surface lots.
